Two World’s Top Universities Cooperate for Dual-degree Education and Contribute to the Higher Education in Taiwan.


Officially approved by the Ministry of Education of Taiwan, the dual Master degree program in Global Operation Management offered by the two top universities in the world, National Tsing Hua University of Taiwan and the Stony Brook University (the state University of New York) of USA, initiated the educational cooperation on a dual-Master-degree program and embraced its semester’s opening ceremony on September 24th. The opening ceremony’s participants include the VP of Stony Brook University, Dr. Ferguson, professors of SBU, Dr. Teng and Dr, Jack Yang, the program director of NTHU, Dr. Chang and the program’s students.

Length of studying for this dual-Master program is expected to be 18 to 24 months. Once completing all the required course credits of SBU and NTHU as well as a Master thesis requiring by NTHU, the students will get both Master degrees in Technology Management from SBU and NTHU.


SBU is ranked 133rd in the 2017 US NewsWorld Report-Global University while NTHU is ranked 151st in 2017 QS World University Ranking. Courses of this dual-Master program in Technology Management will be taught by professors both from SBU and NTHU collocating with online learning activities and sharing exchange and visiting activities with students on SBU campus in the United States, SBU branch campus in Korea as well as those in China. Comparing with traditional studying abroad, the expense for this dual-degree Master program is much more economical and saves the students over a million New Taiwan dollars on tuition and fees.
